Description: The USB-802-STS "MegaTouch"™ 2 Port Serial Touch Screen USB KVM Switch allows one USB keyboard, USB mouse and one serial touch screen video monitor to control two USB PCs or Servers. It is the ideal solution for USB/Serial touch technology applications requiring access to two computers, without the clutter and expense of additional keyboards, mice and touch screen monitors. The USB-802-STS supports all popular USB keyboards and USB mice, as well as serial touch screen monitors, such as those from 3M and ELO, in video resolutions up to 1600 by 1200 at 75Hz. At the heart of the USB-802-STS 2 Port Serial Touch Screen USB KVM Switch is Vetra's advanced, patented technology, which provides and supports true USB functionality through the switch. Connected keyboards and mice enumerate correctly, devices may be "hot-plugged" at any time, and the connected PCs may be powered up and down in any order. The unique architecture of the USB-802-STS 2 Port Serial Touch Screen USB KVM Switch ensures error free boot up and device driver loading for each connected PC, and allows the MegaTouch to operate transparently with all USB compatible PCs, including MAC's,  PC operating systems, and applications. The USB-802-STS 2 Port Serial Touch Screen USB KVM Switch comes in a variety of standard configurations, is compact in design, easy to install and operate, and is ideally suited for desktop use, however, for applications requiring rack mounting, an optional 2U height rack mount tray is available (see Accessories ). For more information on this product or our complete line of KVM solutions, please contact us at sales@vetra.com OPERATION: All USB-802-STS "MegaTouch" USB/Serial Touch Screen KVM Switch models can select the active PC via a keyboard "hot-key" sequence ( [scroll lock] + [1] for PC1, or [scroll lock] + [2] for PC2 ) or by a push button(s) located on the front panel of the USB/Serial Touch Screen KVM Switch. Direct Entry models (as indicated by -DE in the model number) have an individual push button switch for each PC channel. Non-DE models have a single push button (NEXT PC) which toggles between the two connected PCs. In all cases and on all models, when a PC channel is selected, an LED on the front panel illuminates to indicate the selected PC while additional front panel LED's indicate which PCs are powered. Upon selection, the intelligence in the MegaTouch correctly sets the keyboard's status indicators, CAPS, SCROLL, and NUM Lock, as these settings may be different for each PC. The keyboard and/or mouse may be disconnected and re-connected (hot-plugged), or exchanged at any time without having to power down the connected PC's. This feature is useful if a connected device fails during a critical application.

Connections: Standard USB type A-B cables are used to connect the MegaTouch to the USB ports of the PCs, and standard HDD15 and DB9 male-female cables are used to connect to the video and serial ports of PCs. Using standard cables eliminates the need to replace an entire multi-port cable if one connection is damaged or fails, thereby reducing the overall cost of maintainence. You may use your cables, or ours (see Accessories ). The captive cables that are part of the keyboard, mouse, and monitor are used to connect these devices to the MegaTouch. Specifications: Dimensions for the USB-802-KMV-STS and USB-802-KMV-STS-DE USB/Serial Touch Screen KVM Switch are 3.38 in H x 6.06 in W x 6.32 in D (8.59 cm x 15.39 cm x 16.05 cm). The housings are molded of black GE Cycolac-T, a high impact ABS material, and is internally shielded with an acrylic base nickel coating for RFI attenuation. Front and rear panels are fabricated from .062 in thick aluminium and finished with low gloss paint.
